FIOE strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Tunisia

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe strongly condemns the terrorist attack witnessed in the Tunisian capital on Wednesday, resulting in dozens of innocents killed and injured; indeed, the victims were from numerous countries, principally in Europe.
This cowardly attack is an appalling act that is to be condemned in the strongest terms, and is contrary to values, religions, laws, and ethics; indeed, it targets the society’s security, and the country’s freedom, and openness to the world.
The Federation articulates its confidence in Tunisia’s ability to recover from adversity with greater cohesion in the face of terrorism and attacks, from whatever source, to preserve its stability, security, and freedom.
The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe expresses its solidarity with Tunisia, and its people, given this painful tragedy, and offers its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
