The Syrian people’s revolution for the sake of freedom and dignity prepares to enter its third year in mid-March 2013, following huge sacrifices made by these indomitable people, who are determined to continue on their chosen path.
The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe urges its member organisations, and Europe’s Muslims at grass-roots, community and organisation levels, as well as civil society bodies, to mark this occasion with a series of public acts and activities that demonstrate their solidarity, in addition to intensifying relief aid efforts for the Syrian people in this difficult phase of their history.
Over and above continuing the many forms of solidarity, the Federation calls for the days from Friday 15 March to Sunday 17 March 2013, to be marked by widespread solidarity with the Syrian people and their noble revolution, across the European continent, through organising demonstrations and pickets, as well as public activities on the second anniversary of a revolution that continues until it achieves the demands of the Syrian people.
We ask Allah, the Almighty, to grant swift victory to the Syrian people, help them achieve their just demands and legitimate aspirations, and relieve their pain and suffering.
